We completed this concrete driveway job right here in Madeira on Shewango Way last fall.
The homeowner had an existing asphalt driveway that needed to go. We tore it out and replaced it with a new 20×24 concrete driveway. The big challenge with this one is that the driveway slopes toward the garage, so without proper drainage, every heavy rain sends water straight into the garage.

To fix that, we installed a trench drain across the width of the driveway. The trench drain catches the runoff before it ever reaches the garage door and redirects it away from the home. It’s a much cleaner solution than a small center drain, and it does a much better job handling heavy rain events.

The finished driveway is low-maintenance, withstands Cincinnati winters, and actually protects the garage as it should.

If you’ve got a downhill driveway that’s been giving you water problems, give us a call. We do most of our work on the east side of Cincinnati, and we’re always happy to take a look. Free estimates, no pressure.
